Zack Schwartz is the Acting Chief Information Officer for the Department of Commerce Office of the Secretary. Prior to assuming this role in August 2022, Mr. Schwartz served as a Senior Advisor to the Secretary and led the Department's COVID-19 Coordination Team. In this capacity, Mr. Schwartz was responsible for driving and coordinating DOC's pandemic response and operation activities including implementing workplace health and safety guidelines across the bureaus. Prior to joining the Office of the Secretary, Mr. Schwartz held the permanent role of Division Chief for the Census Bureau's Information Technology Services Management Office. As Division Chief, he oversaw the CIO's acquisition, budget, program management, and administrative areas.
