Future-proof your business with Adobe Commerce 2.4.4

Future-proof your business with Adobe Commerce 2.4.4

Our latest release, Adobe Commerce 2.4.4, marks a new step forward in commerce capabilities, security, and performance. The advancements in this release set the foundation for the next several years of Adobe innovations to ensure your commerce business is resilient.

Future-proof, high-performance solution

Adobe Commerce 2.4.4 enables customers to future-proof and accelerate the growth of their digital commerce businesses. With new functionality delivered through independent modular services rather than through core code updates, customers benefit from faster feature adoption along with easier and less frequent upgrades, giving merchants more tools to manage total cost of ownership. This release strategy also ensures that customers maintain the ability to adapt to changing market trends with continued flexibility to customize and meet business needs.

What’s more, 2.4.4 is the fastest and most scalable version ever. Customers can now confidently handle complex catalogs up to 10 times larger, process 5 times higher transaction volumes per hour, and deliver substantially faster API response times. Customers also gain significant performance improvements for both the admin and storefront from the adoption of PHP 8.1. Site health and stability is improved too. When comparing sites on Adobe Commerce 2.4 to sites on Adobe Commerce 2.3, site health index scores are 32% higher, as reported by our Site Wide Analysis Tool, and there is a 34% lower chance of experiencing site outages.

Industry-leading headless commerce

Our latest version also delivers innovative commerce capabilities that engage both B2B and B2C buyers with superior experiences from a single platform. Self-service and assisted purchasing options support a range of buyer preferences and business needs to capitalize on the explosive growth in digital commerce. AI-powered product recommendations and search personalize the buying experience at scale, accelerating product discovery, increasing conversion rates, boosting average order value, and more. Payment services, inventory management, B2B purchase approvals, and other capabilities allow you to operate your business with efficiency.

We continue to build on our leadership in headless commerce by increasing GraphQL API coverage for several B2B and admin features, as well as adding new capabilities to PWA Studio 12.3 with this release. With support for dynamic blocks and targeted promotions, marketers and merchandisers can build personalized content and cart promotions for specific customer segments, reducing the need for customization and, by extension, reducing total cost of ownership and time to live.

Comprehensive platform monitoring

We’ve also expanded the availability of the valuable Site-Wide Analysis Tool to Adobe Commerce customers hosted on-premise. Now, all Adobe Commerce customers have access to its real-time monitoring, reporting, insights, and recommendations. In addition to expanded access, we’ve also enhanced the Site-Wide Analysis Tool dashboard to serve as a central repository to access Adobe Commerce support tools. This provides users with a single viewpoint and easier access to other Support Tools including useful support resources, recommendations, managed alerts, and an extensions summary. In future iterations, this dashboard will be updated to include additional widgets that provide new insights.

New branding and accessibility enhancements

With this release, customers will also notice our new branding. To complement our product name change, you will now see the Adobe Experience Cloud logo in the login screen and admin. This visual indicator reminds users that Adobe Commerce is an integral part of the Adobe Experience Cloud portfolio of applications. Additionally, we are updating the admin to better align with accessibility standards, including accessible naming and tagging, which enables users without vision or with limited vision to use assistive technology to interact with our backend. Other enhancements include updated icons, buttons, and tooltips to provide a more usable backend for customers and developers with vision impairments, and the ability to add alt text to images in Page Builder.
