Onstage at Microsoft Ignite, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen and Judson Althoff, CEO of Microsoft’s commercial business, sat down to discuss the partnership between the two companies, the future of AI, and to announce new Adobe AI agents integrated with Microsoft 365 that are bringing AI into the flow of work.
Adobe is excited to support the announcement of Microsoft Agent 365, and as Shantanu discussed onstage at Ignite, Adobe Marketing Agent for Microsoft 365 Copilot will now be seamlessly incorporated into the Microsoft Agent 365 framework so that marketers everywhere can use purpose-built marketing agents from Adobe in their flow of work.
Adobe’s approach to AI is comprehensive, leading strategic innovation from data and models to agent orchestration, apps, and interfaces. Marketing and creative teams looking to harness the power and scale of AI to create and deliver brand-defining customer experiences want to use AI not just to execute tasks but to collaborate across teams. To meet this need, Adobe has purpose-built AI and agents directly into the applications teams already rely on to complete their work.
Adobe introduced AI Assistant and purpose-built AI agents powered by Adobe Experience Platform Agent Orchestrator earlier this year. Adobe Experience Platform Agent Orchestrator powers the intelligence and reasoning behind the agents, enabling them to execute complex decision-making and problem-solving tasks at speed and scale. It also gives teams the ability to build, manage, and coordinate Adobe and third-party agents to meet specific needs.
As teams embrace agentic AI in these day-to-day applications to augment their work and drive better results, interoperability between AI agents across ecosystems becomes critical. Across the applications that marketers use to deliver great customer experiences, AI agents must work together effectively without disrupting the flow of work.
Adobe Marketing Agent for Microsoft 365 Copilot brings campaign intelligence into everyday workflows. Through natural language chat in applications such as Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, and Word via Microsoft 365 Copilot, it enables users to access real-time campaign insights, refine target audiences, and receive tailored recommendations to optimize performance. Adobe Marketing Agent helps customers uncover actionable insights that improve audience targeting, campaign performance, and marketing ROI.
In addition, Adobe has introduced Adobe Express Agent, which allows users to easily create compelling visual assets directly within Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and OneNote via Microsoft 365 Copilot. Adobe Express Agent empowers teams to generate stunning images and templates through a conversational interface, without leaving the host applications. This enables effortless creation of high-quality images for documents, presentations, whitepapers, social media posts and more — for marketers and other teams across an organization.
Now, with Microsoft Agent 365, users will soon collaborate seamlessly with Microsoft and third-party agents, such as Adobe Marketing Agent, across Teams, Outlook, and relevant Microsoft 365 apps. Businesses will be able to unlock clear ROI by enabling these agents to act on business and productivity data with IT-defined guardrails. The security and compliance of agents can be easily managed by administrators using existing tools in Entra, Purview, Defender, and more.
Within the Microsoft 365 Admin center, administrators will be able to filter for AI Agents like Adobe’s that are Copilot-ready and set up policies to determine who in the organization can use the agents. Through the Microsoft Agent Store, end users will be able to find hirable agents and raise a request with their administrator to hire. IT admins can set up hiring policies for AI agents, ensuring creation, usage, and cost remain transparent and aligned with their business strategy.
