What is Adobe Experience Platform Agent Orchestrator?

Adobe Experience Platform Agent Orchestrator is a new agentic layer in Adobe Experience Platform. Designed to leverage Experience Platform’s rich data and customer knowledge, Agent Orchestrator lets Experience Platform and third-party agents understand specific customer experience tasks, make decisions, and take actions — all with human oversight. Experience Platform Agent Orchestrator also delivers a secure and extensible foundation that supports multi-agent collaboration.

Empowering practitioners with purpose-built agents that function as a talent multiplier by providing proactive, goal oriented, and context-aware planning and execution.

Providing concierge experiences to end customers using real-time, intent-driven, and personalized conversations at new depths and scales.

Customizing and extending Adobe’s pre-built agents to fit your enterprise’s specific customer experience orchestration needs and workflows.

How does Adobe Experience Platform Agent Orchestrator work?

Adobe Experience Platform Agents use intelligence, speed, and scale to execute complex decision-making and problem-solving tasks. All of this is made possible by the five core components of Agent Orchestrator.

  1. Conversational interface: An immersive user experience through which Experience Platform Agents and other AI capabilities can be accessed.
  2. Reasoning engine: The intelligence core that translates natural language into a series of agentic operator executions. The reasoning engine is designed to interpret the goals and constraints from a user’s inputs and formulate a dynamic plan to achieve that goal.
  3. Agentic operator: The building blocks required to execute predefined, task-based agentic skills on behalf of Experience Platform Agents.
  4. Knowledge base: A central repository of information and predefined patterns that provides grounding for the reasoning engine, supports role-oriented prompts, and prioritizes skill requirements to ensure effective resource allocation.
  5. Agent composer (coming soon): A user interface that enables configuration and customization of pre-built Experience Platform Agents.

Experience Platform Agent Orchestrator uses each of these components to enable Experience Platform and third-party agents to accomplish tasks. Once a user submits a query in a conversational user interface, such as  AI Assistant in Adobe Experience Platform, the reasoning engine will interpret the prompt and generate a dynamic plan tailored to the task. This plan may involve one or more agentic operators with each of them capable of retrieving data, generating or summarizing insights, generating content, and more. The operators then interact with the knowledge base to extract any necessary information to complete the task.

Throughout the entire process, Experience Platform Agent Orchestrator ensures Experience Platform Agents can execute tasks in ways that can be verified, validated by users, and repeated — enabling robust and reliable task completion. Soon, Agent Composer can be leveraged to configure and customize Experience Platform Agents as well as connect them with in-house and third-party agents. These connections will help create an agentic ecosystem to best address unique business needs.
