release blog header

The accelerated growth of ecommerce has not slowed, and 2022 will be another big year for businesses operating online. In fact, according to Adobe’s own research, 2022 is anticipated to be the first year that online ecommerce surpasses $1 trillion in the United States. Today, we are announcing several updates to Adobe Commerce to help our customers find new growth opportunities in the coming year.

Highlights include updates to our Adobe Sensei-powered Product Recommendations, a new MuleSoft Connector that optimizes data exchange and workflows across systems, and new Mirakl Marketplace Platform integrations that allow merchants to build their own marketplace or sell on other Mirakl marketplaces.

We’re thrilled about the future of the Adobe Commerce platform and what’s in store for 2022. We can’t wait to share our plans at Adobe Summit! In the meantime, we want to help your business prepare to upgrade to Adobe Commerce 2.4.4, a new version of the platform coming in March that will unlock these upcoming opportunities and provide a foundation that will future-proof your business. Make sure you check out the resources below.

Adobe Commerce Product Updates

Product Recommendations

Releasing at the end of January, we are excited to announce new storefront styling features for Product Recommendations designed to drive higher customer engagement and click rates. Using these new features, customers can style recommendations based on custom product attributes and easily apply custom visual treatments or badges, such as “Expedited Shipping,” “Clearance,” or other common merchandising design elements.

CPU Usage Tracking Tool

Customers deploying Adobe Commerce on cloud can use our new CPU Usage Tracking tool to track virtual CPU (vCPU) usage over a defined period in an easy-to-use dashboard. They can use the tracking data to monitor trends and optimize computing resources. Our managed service customers are already seeing the benefits of this tool and will continue to see their sites optimized proactively by their Customer Success Engineer.

Noteworthy Adobe Commerce Integrations

MuleSoft Connector for Adobe Commerce

The MuleSoft Connector for Adobe Commerce helps customers build and maintain enterprise system integrations with ERPs, PIMs, and pricing engines to deliver innovative commerce experiences.

It provides a single scalable hub to manage all integrations with enterprise solutions instead of individual point-to-point integrations. This approach optimizes data exchange and workflows across systems, while reducing the need to write custom code that increases the TCO of your commerce platform. For more information, refer to the MuleSoft documentation.

Mirakl Marketplace Platform

The Mirakl Marketplace Platform enables merchants to generate additional revenue streams from their Adobe Commerce investment using two integration assets.

Customers can use these assets to expand their sales channels and manage many of the Mirakl marketplace administrative and sales functions directly from their Adobe Commerce Admin. To learn more about how you can increase your commerce footprint by leveraging marketplaces, read Launch your own marketplace with Adobe Commerce and Mirakl.
