The Workfront Lion Awards, now in their third year, were established to recognize those businesses that are pioneering modern work management. The awards celebrate companies that are driving positive change and measurable results across their organisations, automating and accelerating critical business processes, and helping people get their best work done.

The judging panel of Workfront executives and industry experts had the challenging and rewarding task of reviewing the many inspiring accomplishments of this year’s nominees. Each award submission demonstrates that Workfront customers continue to set the highest standards in modern work management.

Kverneland Group Operations, Norway, is a leading international company developing, producing, and distributing agricultural machinery and services. The Kverneland team began their Workfront journey in January 2018 and have already increased capacity in the R&D department by 78% just for reporting, status updates, and better planning.

Bakkavor is the leading provider of fresh prepared food in the UK, with a growing international presence in the US and China. The team at Bakkavor launched Workfront in 2016 to manage their expanding project workload. As the business has continued its international growth, the workload and size of the team has grown in parallel, which led them to review resource management in 2018 as the next step in the business’s work management evolution. JLL is a world leader in real estate services. JLL buys, builds, occupies, and invests in a variety of assets including industrial, commercial, retail, residential, and hotel real estate. Its clients span industries including banking, energy, healthcare, law, life sciences, manufacturing, and technology. The team at JLL is using Workfront as their operational system of record (OSR) - orchestrating technology change across the enterprise to deliver better products, faster, with transparent performance and greater collaboration.

Workfront Rising Star

It pays to go all-in on a new technology from the start. The Rising Star award recognizes customers who have achieved significant results within their first year of implementation.

Sok Media is the marketing team of the Finnish Cooperative Society Central Cooperative (SOK), a Euro 12 billion retail group, has been using Workfront for almost a year. The team sought out a platform to enable their digital transformation, reimagining and reinventing how marketing works across the business. Process transparency, cost savings, and improved efficiency has released time for the team to flex their creative and innovative muscles, which has led to external recognition of their campaigns in the global marketing community. They are working closely with Workfront to continually refine and improve their business models, helping the marketing team and other divisions within the company to do their best work.

Santander UK is a large retail and commercial bank based in the UK and a wholly owned subsidiary of the major global bank, Banco Santander. Santander strives for operational and digital excellence across its business and the team brought Workfront in to achieve its marketing 4.0 initiative. Workfront enables several marketing groups — from planning to comms, events to sustainability — to work more efficiently, increase collaboration and visibility, and make cost savings across the business.

GVC is one of the world’s largest sports betting and gaming groups. As a high growth global business in a highly regulated sector, GVC needed a tool that encouraged consistent work practises, improved visibility to all stakeholders, and provided seamless collaboration across departments to break down operational silos. Within one month the team had gained 94% adoption and usage of Workfront. The organisation quickly embraced the behavioural change needed, empowering the team to reject any requests that don’t come through Workfront, and quickly delivering execs visibility and quality reporting.
