Adobe launches new ways to turn insights into your next best ad.

Brands lose an estimated $130 billion a year on ads that just aren’t working. For channels where creative does the heavy lifting, such as social, video, and display, creative alone accounts for the majority of that waste — an estimated $35 billion.¹ Creative is the last unoptimized variable in performance marketing. Everything else, from buying to bidding to targeting, is now largely automated. Getting a new, brand-approved ad live in response to what the data shows still takes time, sometimes weeks or even months, and all the while you’re burning through spend.

This lag exists because the signal and the response live worlds apart, with multiple people, platforms, and SLAs involved in every refresh. Someone is manually tracking performance, deciding what to do, and setting the next ad in motion. Someone else is interpreting the plan and producing new creative for feedback.

But what if opportunities to drive higher ROAS surfaced automatically? What if handoffs required nothing from you? Agents put that reality within reach. Picture a system that never clocks out, catches the moment an ad is worth scaling or a signal is worth acting on, and works toward your performance goals while you're in a meeting, at the gym, or asleep.

Adobe GenStudio for Performance Marketing is building toward this future. It helps performance marketing teams see what’s working in their paid campaigns, decide what to do next, and assemble the next version of an ad from their own brand-approved assets, ready to activate across channels.

Starting now, teams can do all of that from GenStudio for Performance Marketing or from inside ChatGPT and Claude.

Enabling this experience is the new GenStudio for Performance Marketing MCP server. It gives the agentic tools you already use something they didn’t have before: the ability to go from a question to a campaign refresh in a single conversation, with each response grounded in real, reliable inputs.

Continuous, conversational ad optimization.

GenStudio for Performance Marketing automatically looks at all your live ads across channels and analyzes which creative attributes are driving performance (down to the emotional appeal of the headline, image style, and offer tactic). Starting today, it also proactively surfaces recommendations on what to change and why, flagging winning ads to scale and underperforming ads to refresh. Recommendations are statistically significant and available in real time.

From any recommendation, you can click to generate your next best creative. GenStudio for Performance Marketing shows you multiple creative directions to choose from, each representing a high-impact opportunity to lift performance and optimize in-market spend. Pick one (or a few) directions to test, and your new ad set will be prepopulated on the GenStudio for Performance Marketing canvas.

Brand governance will be baked in, with each ad checked against your brand, channel, and accessibility guidelines. Review brand scores across the ad set, make any last-mile edits, then send the ads for review and approval before activating them across channels.

That same capability is also available through the new GenStudio for Performance Marketing MCP server, directly within ChatGPT and Claude, if you'd rather work from the tools you already use. A performance marketer can ask which ads are underperforming and why, work through recommendations conversationally, and generate creative variants, all without opening a new tool.

This is a meaningfully different way to get an answer. A dashboard can only answer the questions it was built for, with preset fields and filters. Through MCP, a marketer can bring messier, more specific questions and get answers that are grounded in their own campaign data, their own brand, and their own performance history.

Send new ads for review, check approval status, and activate downstream across channels, all from the same conversation.

GenStudio for Performance Marketing recommendations, the next best creative generation, and MCP server are now in Early Access, supporting ChatGPT and Claude, with additional AI assistants and agentic platforms coming soon.

Where this is headed.

GenStudio for Performance Marketing cuts the lag between signal and response, so teams can optimize continuously instead of periodically. Early results from our own Adobe Global Marketing Organization (GMO) have shown a 21% increase in conversions while reducing wasted spend.

Proactive guidance and ad generation are the first step toward a governed, connected system that moves you toward your goals without being prompted, with more to come. Expect the same idea to keep showing up in future launches, helping marketers spend less time chasing execution and more time directing strategy. The result is more autonomy, greater connectivity across agentic platforms, and more opportunities to drive growth for your business.
