Adobe Experience Manager Assets Features

Asset management and governance

Monitor and control the use of assets across your organization to support compliance with brand guidelines and digital rights requirements. Automated content and asset handoffs across content creation workflows eliminate manual bottlenecks and accelerate time-to-market.

Digital asset management

Implement role-based permissions and agentic workflows to give the right users access to the right content. Asset expiration dates and approval workflows trigger alerts and status updates, so unapproved or outdated assets can’t be used or published.

  • Secure delivery. Manage access to specific assets and determine when they can be used or searched for. This helps ensure assets are published at the right time and inaccessible if they have expired.
  • Granular permissions. Control user and team permissions at the asset level, folder level, by license type. You can also control who has access to specific assets in the DAM or in Content Hub, a user-friendly asset interface.

Asset governance

Protect brand integrity, support license requirements, and avoid potential legal issues from using unlicensed, unapproved, or expired assets.

  • Digital rights management. Use watermarking, content credentials, and legal compliance workflows to prevent violations and legal consequences that could result from using incorrect content.
  • Asset expiration. Set up automatic removal of expired assets from the DAM, so they’re no longer discoverable or usable.
  • Asset status. View, search, monitor, and approve or archive asset status. DAM admins can also limit access to specified release dates, making assets available for automated publishing or unpublishing.
  • Agentic AI asset monitoring. Use Brand Governance Agent to continuously scan for expired, duplicate, or non-compliant assets and flag or remove them to protect brand reputation and reduce risk of asset leakage.

  • Agentic recommendations. Help teams identify the best-performing or most relevant content to reuse, reducing manual search and review, and improving time to market.
